Einstein told us that matter and energy are the same Stuff moving at different speeds. The molecules in ice move very slowly indeed. They move faster in water, and fastest in steam. All matter is energy that is moving slowly; all energy is matter vibrating quickly.
Likewise, even the most jaded scientists say that thoughts are biochemical or bioelectric signals the brain emits. Thoughts are energy. Thoughts, therefore, are the selfsame stuff as matter.
We don’t need to put “mind over matter.” What we need is to realize that mind IS matter.
Someone told me—though I can’t find the exact quote—that the Dalai Lama once said, “If you want to see into your past, look at your body. If you want to know the future, look at your mind.” Our thoughts become physical reality. That’s why it’s so vital that we choose our thoughts well.
Now, all I need to do is repeat these ideas to myself fifty or sixty times a day. . . .
